On May 31st, Jiaxing held the 100-day Mobilization and Deployment Meeting of the City's Steady Economic Progress and Quality Improvement at the critical point of economic development, which centering on the keynote of “preventing the epidemic, stabilizing the economy, and ensuring safe development”, deployed “ten hundred-day actions. It stabilized the economy through unconventional means and breakthrough measures. Mr. Zhang Bing, Deputy Secretary, and Mr. Li Jun, Mayor of Jiaxing Municipal Committee, attended the meeting.

As the representative of entrepreneurs, the Chairman of STL, Mr. Yang Weidong, made a speech at the meeting. He expressed that under the correct leadership of the Municipal Party committee and Government and the strong support of relevant departments, STL prevented the epidemic, stabilized the production, promoted, the control of the risks and confirmed business operation. From January to April, STL maintained full production and full sales. All business data maintained strong growth with a good start. Since the second season, influenced by  unexpected factors such as the epidemic and international market changes, downward pressure on the economy has increased. Every challenge, on the other hand, was an opportunity. We unswervingly trusted in Party and Country, unswervingly were optimistic about the futural development, unswervingly did what we needed to do to take enterprise’s responsibility for the steady progress of quality improvement.

Unswerving Strengthen Confidence in Development

Recently, a series of policies have been  introduced from the country to provinces and cities in order to stabilize the economy and benefit the enterprises. It showed the extraordinary determination to boost the economy and stabilize employment from the Party and Government. For the enterprise determination was much more important than gold. The more difficult the time was, the more we had to face the difficulties. There were always opportunities in a crisis. To achieve leading technology and management, we had to learn industry benchmark and train “internal skills.”  

Unswerving Expanding Project Investment

To achieve a stabilizing increase, keep existing units at “full production and full sales, production and sales balance,” but also continue to invest in major projects to achieve “early investments, early production, and early results.” STL would promote the three major projects under construction into production, focus on the implementation of various new chemical materials projects, accelerate the joint venture and cooperation with international enterprises, promote the introduction of foreign investment, and achieve zero breakthroughs in relevant high-end industries in China.

Unswerving Determination to Introduce Talents

STL actively responded to the “talent strengthens the city” of the Municipal Party Committee and Government, created a “strong magnetic field” of talent gathering in the Yangtze River Delta, and paid good attention to the talent reserve of enterprises. Since 2022, STL has increased the employees’ incomes and provided new jobs. At the same time, STL introduced various high-end talents, completed the application of national talents and science and technology awards, continued high investment in the science and technology innovation field, and comprehensively promoted the design and planning of the global R&D center and other preparatory work.

Chairman, Mr. Yang Weidong emphasized that moving forward was the only choice. We should face difficulties and challenges with the determination to make the impossible possible and the courage to go upward. STL would never forget the mission and responsibility of private enterprises beside the Red Boat to contribute to building high-quality development and build a model city of common prosperity for Jiaxing with practical action and performance for the Party's 20th Congress.
