On May 24th, Mr. Fang Wei, Vice-Governor of Jiangsu Province visited Orbit Energy Project of STL located within the United States in Houston, Texas, for investigation on the operation and future development of the project, as well as deepening energy cooperation and expanding industrial project in Lianyungang between enterprises of both sides and made a deep discussion on with Mr. Yang Weidong, the Chairman of STL and Mr. Mackie McCrea, the CEO of Energy Transfer. Mr. Ma Shiguang, Party Secretary of Lianyungang and related comrades from Jiangsu Province, Lianyungang and Xuwei New District accompanied. The management group from STL US Branch and Energy Transfer gave a warm welcome.
During the investigation, STL US Branch introduced the operation condition of Orbit Energy Project and sincerely thanked for the long-term care and support from Vice-Governor Mr. Fang Wei.
Vice-Governor Mr. Fang Wei acknowledged the achievements gained by the Orbit Energy Project, and he hoped that enterprises from both sides would continue clean energy cooperation in higher level and wider field in the future. He emphasized that “cooperation and win-win” was the common interests for both Chinese and US companies. He hoped that enterprises from both sides could take energy cooperation as an opportunity, seize the chances of the times, strengthen the innovating and creating ability, and explore the new developing opportunities under “Dual Carbon Policy”. Vice-Governor Mr. Fang Wei expressed that Jiangsu Province would continue to encourage and support enterprises’ development and contribute to the new breakthrough of the cooperation project of both sides.
Chairman Mr. Yang Weidong expressed that STL would actively respond to the call of the provincial Party committee and government, insist on dual circle development pattern, continue to expand investment in clean energy field, deepen international cooperation and create green and better future. CEO Mr. Mackie McCrea expressed that enterprises from both sides would hardly promote Orbit Energy Project to achieve more fruitful results in technological innovation, intelligent production and green low-carbon projects.
