On May 28th, Pinghu held the High-Quality Manufacturing Projects Centralized Signing Ceremony. Leaders including Secretary of Pinghu Municipal Committee, Mr. Zhong Xudong, Deputy Secretary and Mayor, Mr. Zhou Junbo attended. VP of STL and GM of Pinghu Base, Mr. Gao Jun presented. In front of a full house, Director of Management Committee of Dushan Port Economy Zone, Mr. Zhuang Zhihao and VP of STL, Mr. Gao Jun signed the project investment contract together.

The total investment of the 200k t/a Refined AA Project was 1.1B RMB. It is expected to reach an output of about 2.5B RMB and a tax revenue of 120M RMB annually. The project was scheduled to be completed and put into production by 2024. 

As the top 5 globally and biggest AA manufacturer in China, STL has already formed the layout of AA industry chain which had integration advantage in both upstream and downstream. This project was the application of self-developing green and low-carbon technology. In addition, it was also one of the “Million-Ton Projects” of “the Second Five-Year Plan”, which enriched the AA and AE products series as well as further enhanced the scaled advantage and market competitiveness. At the same time, STL had SAP which was the downstream of refined AA. SAP was widely used in personal hygiene care such as Baby diapers, adult diapers, feminine hygiene products, pet hygiene and moisturizing products for agriculture and forestry etc. With the introduction of “the Three-Child Policy”, the aggravation of the aging trend of the population and the rapid development of pet economy, the demands of SAP kept increasing which has been indicating a huge potential market. The SAP of STL were highly recognized by the main sanitary products manufacturers at home and abroad and developed steadily in the global market.

This year is the key year of “the 14th Five-Year Plan”, the year of the 20th Party Congress and the 30th year of STL. The successful signing of the project was one of the important measures to adhere to the high-quality development of STL, which was also the way to focus on the main industry and promote the strong chain. The project highly adheres to the “1212” industrial development system of Pinghu, which would drive STL to build a science and technology company based on the integration of light hydrocarbon, to achieve the higher-quality development of regional economy and the “Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutral” target of the country.
