On January 13th, "Oscar" in Zhejiang economic circles, the 2021 Annual Awards Ceremony of “Fengyun Zhejiang Merchants” was held in Hangzhou. Mr. Yang Weidong, chairman of STL, won the honor of “Fengyun Zhejiang Merchants” in 2021.
As the most influential financial figures in Zhejiang and even the whole country, the selection of “Fengyun Zhejiang Merchants” has been held 18 times. The selection aims to commend the representatives who are determined to forge ahead, constantly innovate, interpret and inherit the spirit of Zhejiang merchants. As an entrepreneur beside the Red Boat, Chairman Yang Weidong has been working hard for 30 years, adhering to the original aspiration of serving the country with industry, inheriting the spirit of the Red Boat, and relying on cavity blood, starting from a 300-Liter reaction kettle in a rented warehouse. He knew that the only way out for development was to strengthen and deepen industry. With this belief, he broke the international monopoly again and again and became the first in one industry after another. He has been focusing on the low-carbon light hydrocarbon industry chain for 30 years, enabling high-quality development with scientific and technological innovation, extending, strengthening and supplementing the chain, so as to create a highly competitive chemical new material technology enterprise.
We need to thank our country and the government. Becoming bigger and stronger, enterprises can not only generate income for employees and investors but also create taxes for the regional economy and contribute to national economic development. This is what Chairman Yang often says. More than that, he also takes the initiative to shoulder the responsibility of giving back to society. He established a public welfare charity fund and actively participated in COVID prevention as well as fixed-point assistance, so as to contribute to the high-quality development of Zhejiang and the construction of a demonstration area of common prosperity.

2021 is the end of STL’s “first five-year plan”. 2022 is the start of the “second five-year plan” and the 30th anniversary of its founding.
