On December 19th, Mayor Li Jun, also serving as the Deputy Party Secretary in Jiaxing, braved light rain to visit the STL Future Research Center. During the inspection, he delved into the development plans, inquiring about project timelines and emphasized the philosophy of “Better off a Day Advanced”. Mayor Li Jun urged dedicated efforts to expedite the construction of the center, aiming for early project commencement, swift completion, and prompt realization of its benefits. The ambitious aim is to establish the center as a noteworthy corporate research facility on a national scale, as well as a symbolic project with regional and industry significance. Leaders from relevant departments in industry, technology, and self-regulation accompanied Mayor Li during the on-site inspection.

Chairman Yang Weidong has outlined the vision for the STL Future Research Center, aiming to create an integrated industrial innovation platform that encompasses functions like entrepreneurial incubation, research and development, and outcome promotion. The plan involves attracting more than 200 Ph.D. scholars, with more than 20 already actively contributing to the research activities. Chairman Yang also expressed that the operational launch of the research center will play a pivotal role in Jiaxing’s endeavors to establish itself as a robust hub for smart manufacturing innovation. Additionally, he envisions it as a key driver for fostering new growth in the collaborative innovation process within the Yangtze River Delta region.
